Proof is in beta, so some details on this page may still change.
Each Proof run is a [code]smith session, so it costs the same as any other session. No seats, no per-run fee. Proof boots your app on an 8 vCPU sandbox, so a minute of Proof working costs $0.016 in compute. The per-million fee covers every token the model reads or writes, cached ones included.

Control how often it runs

  • Pick When I ask in Settings → Proof and Proof only runs when someone asks for it.
  • Write Proof rules to skip PRs your team doesn’t need checked, like dependency bumps or infra.
  • Without rules, Proof already skips PRs that only touch tests, docs, CI or formatting.
  • Admins can set a monthly [code]smith spend limit in Settings. Proof counts toward it, and stops starting new runs once the limit is hit.

Billing

Proof is billed incrementally and lands on the same invoice as the rest of your Blacksmith usage. To see what Proof alone has cost, open the Proof tab in Usage and Billing. If a charge fails, Proof and the rest of [code]smith may pause until the invoice is paid. CI runners keep running. Pay the invoice from Usage and Billing to pick back up.
